Seeking Knowledge From Books Alone Is Not Sufficient by Shaykh Salih Al Fawzan

They know the books which are beneficial and correct from those which are not. Because many books are books of misguidance and evil and no one is able to examine them and explain them except the people of knowledge. Maybe you understand with an erroneous understanding. For example an individual says he has read in Saheeh al Bukhaari the Hadeeth:

"Black seed is a cure from every ailment or a healing"
So he reads it and he erroneously read it as:

'The Black Snake*' is a cure from every ailment, so he went and ate a black snake and died as a result. For he didn't ask the people of knowledge. He is known as the scholar of the dot as they say.

[Translators note] The words seed حبة and snake حية in Arabic have the same form (spelling) except for an extra dot that exists in the latter.

The scholars are those who know what correct from what's not. They are the ones who know the correct meanings from those which are evil/corrupted. They are experts in this. Rather take a book from the books of medicine, read it and perform surgery on the people, open their stomaches and say I'm a doctor! This is not correct! If this is the case in the study of medicine then how about knowledge?! How about in relation to the Book of Allaah and the sunnah of His messenger?! There is a must for the scholars. Yes! May He (سبحنه و تعلى) make his grave a garden from the gardens of Jannah, free him from the punishments of the grave, ease and make quick his questioning and forgive him.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

"Verily, Allah does not take away knowledge by taking it from the people, but rather, He takes away knowledge by taking away the scholars. So that when He leaves no learned person, people will take the ignorant as leaders. They will be asked on religious verdicts, and they answer them without knowledge. They go astray and lead astray!" source: Sahih Muslim, Kitaab al Ilm (47), Chapter 5, Hadeeth 22

Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people...”

Narrated Abdullah bin Amr:
I heard the Prophet ﷺ say:

"Indeed, Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people, but He takes away knowledge by taking away the scholars (through death), until no scholar remains. Then people will take ignorant ones as leaders; they will be asked, and they will give fatwas without knowledge. So they will go astray and will lead the people astray."

📚 Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Knowledge (Kitab al-Ilm), Hadith 100 (in some numberings)
📚 Also in: Sahih Muslim 2673, Kitaab al Ilm (47), Chapter 5, Hadeeth 22

Allamah Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan said: “Indeed, Allah does not take away this knowledge by snatching it from the hearts of the people.

Rather He takes it away by the death of the scholars.

Until, when no scholar remains, people will take ignorant ones as leaders.

Thus they will go astray and lead others astray.

We fear that this has begun in our time. So it is upon us to be careful, be fearful and act with prudence, and to select the trustworthy people of knowledge, to the best of our ability, and with whoever is available.

As for the earlier scholars, they have gone. However, choose the best of those that are present. And keep your duty to Allåh and fear Him as much as you can.”

An Imam Has Died رحمه الله | Anwar Wright

Today the Ummah has lost, an Imam of the Sunnah Ibn Umayr Madkhali, the Imam, Shaykh Rabee'.

He called with his tongue, and he fought with his pen Upholding the truth, silencing dubious men.

Indeed his virtue was known, by the Shuyukh of his time Ibn Baz, Nasiruddin, we haven't finished this line Al-Uthaymeen, al-Fawzan, Muqbil al-Wadi'ee, Luhaydaan, and Shaykh Zayd, they all praised Shaykh Rabee. He was praised by the two, Muhammad and Hasan al-Banna(this hasan al Banna is sunni-salafi Imam not ikhwani hasan al-banna). And they both testified, to his adherence to Sunnah. He was praised by Subayyil and Ali Nasir Faqeeh, By Allamahs, Ubayd Al Jabiri and Ahmad al-Najmee.

He was fully acquainted with what some callers concealed.

So he pulled back their veil, thus their true state was revealed.

He knew their plots and deception, he knew their tricks and their games. Giving advice to the Ummah, bringing the hizbis(party of shaytan) to shame.

So may Allah show him mercy, may he be raised in degrees .May He grant him Firdaus, among those whom He is pleased.

The Virtue of Shaykh Rabee' al-Madkhali | Abu Iyaad

Now, you can now appreciate it. What is it that Allamah Shaykh Rabi is doing? (Now he is no longer alive.)

You can appreciate why it is that Shaykh Allamah Muhaddith Al-Albani said about him(Allmah Shaykh Rabi Hadi AL-Madkhali) the carrier of the flag of "Jarh waTadeel" of criticism of of men and people of groups and individuals.

You can understand why shaykh Allamah Imam bin Baz said that this man(Shaykh Rabi) is a person of the sunnah.

You can understand why shaykh Allamah Imam bin Baz would ask Shaykh Rabi Hadi AL-Madkhali to refute certain individuals.

Once there was a man who was speaking about the attributes of Allah denying them. shaykh Allamah Imam bin Baz wrote a letter saying refute this man to Shaykh Rabi.

This is the recognition that the Shaykh Rabi Hadee Al Madkhali has from the major scholars of our of our time.

Al-Allamah Shaykh ibn Utahymeen was asked about shaykh rabi. He(Ibn Uthaymeen) said why are you asking me about him rather he should be asked about me? In the same way that when Imam Ahmad was asked about Ishāq bin Rāhooyah (died 238AH) and he replied, ‘Someone like me is asked about Ishāq?! Rather, Ishāq is to be asked about me.

Allamah Shaykh ibn Uthaymeen said that the only reason by why people criticize the shaykh(referring to Imam Rabi) is because he refuted their figureheads who opposed the methodology of the salaf in rectification right.

Allamah Shaykh Muqbil Al-Yemani said this man(Shaykh rabi) is a sign from the signs of Allah in knowing the hizbeen(party of shaitaan as Allmah Shaykh Salih AL Fawzan said, the salaf is the Sect of Allah, quoting Quran 58:22 and all other besides are party of Shaitaan & Hijbees are evil party.)

Right? These are all of the major scholars.

So now you know that anyone who comes along starts belittling Rabi, you know straight away he's a person of desires. Why? Because whose statement are you going to take?

Al-Albani, Muqbil, bin Baz, Ibn Utahymeen, Fawzan, Luhaydaan, Abdullah A-Bukhari(addition from my side), Shaykh Arafat(addition from my side), the statements of other scholars. You're going to take, these are the scholars of these are people of the people of knowledge.

This is their shahada(testimony). you going to take their shahada?

Are you going to take some misken(poor) you know mafdoom(lost) here living in the western lands who whose opinion you going to take it's clear it's wajeh that's why it is clear to anyone who reviles shaykh rabi, who attacks him, who belittles him, we know this man is a man of misguidance straight away we don't need to ask any questions because  Allah has made the deen easy for us, Allah has made the deen easy for us right. Just like in the time of the Salaf it would be said that whoever attacks so and so, he is a person of innovation right because those imams  became known for giants in the sunnah.

Allmah Imam Sufyaan At-Thawari, Imam Al-Aujayee and other than them and so on so forth. In the same way, this is how we, you know direct and guide ourselves by way of the people of knowledge because they are signposts.

Where Did The Term Madkhali or Madakhila Come From | Shamsi

Ustaad Shamshuddin Said in one of his lecture “The people innovation & misguidance, to turn people away from the peOple of the truth, they attribute (this term: Madkhali or Madakhila) to Allamah Sheikh Rabee al-Madkhali.

Sheikh Rabee bin haadi tal-Madkhali Was one of the first scholars to expose Sayyid Qutub(Head of Ikhwani) & Hasan Al-Bannah[4](Ikhwani sufi, remember and note, there is another Hasan Al-Banna who is sunni-salafi-athari-ahhadees-ahlesunnah-wal-jamah from firqah an-najiyah just like we have sunni salafi ibn Arabi and sufi ibn Arabi).

And to show that their aqeedah(Iman) & madhab goes back to Marxism and Socialism and democracy & so on and mixed with Islam so, Sayyid Qutub is someone that they really respects and love. So because Sheikh Rabee exposed him with proof, Exposed the Muslim Brotherhood(known as Ikhwanul Muslimoon or Jamate Islami), Surooris(followers of Muhammad ibn Suroor), Qutbis(followers on the dawah of deviant ikhwani sayed kutub from ikhwani manhaj and imaan). They didn't like it.

So because. they Couldn't refute him back with knowledge, they started saying "Madakhila Madakhila or Madkhali Madkhali" Just as the Suffiyah When they cOuIdn't refute ——the scholars of Sunnah They started calling them what? Wahabi.

So there is nothing called Madakhila —Likewise there's nothing called Wahabia. End of speech source: Where Did The Term Madkhali Come From? | Shamsi #shorts #islam #muslim - YouTube

Daniel Haqiqatjou Strikes Again With Another Blunder In Shirk ! | Shamsi

A-Risalah Publication Published short Whatsapp story text refuting Daniel Haqiqatue Major Shirk with Allah:

The author starts by saying: Today, I saw a clip of Daniel Haqiqatjou claiming that Muslims calling upon “Jesus” or a dead Shaykh have not committed Major Shirk that takes them out of Islam, but rather that the action is considered Minor Shirk, which does not take them out of Islam.

He differentiated between the “Muslims” who call upon “Jesus” and the “Christian Kuffār.” He claimed that the former do not believe that “Jesus” is God but are only trying to get closer to Allāh through His prophet, while the latter believe that Jesus is God. (Typing out Daniel’s misguided claim is nauseating.)

With this claim, it is evident that Daniel believes that what takes a person out of Islam is “believing that something other than Allāh is God.” By this sick principle, the Jehovah’s Witness faction of Christians would not be disbelievers because they do not believe that Jesus is God.

Even the people of Jāhiliyyah, whom Allāh declared Kuffār in the Qur’an, would not be, because they did not believe that Lat, Manāt, ‘Uzza, Hubal, Isāf, Nailah, etc., were the Almighty. They believed in the existence of Allāh and even called upon Him at times.

Allāh said regarding the Kuffār of Jāhiliyyah:

﴾وَالَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ مَا نَعْبُدُهُمْ إِلَّا لِيُقَرِّبُونَا إِلَى اللَّهِ زُلْفَى﴿

And those who take Auliya’ (protectors and helpers) besides Him (say): ‘We worship them only that they may bring us near to Allāh.’” [Zumar:3]

The verse shows that the people Allāh referred to as Kuffār in the Qur’an also acknowledged Allāh as the Almighty and the Greatest, yet they were regarded as taking partners besides Allāh only because they prayed to those idols. This proves that the Shirk for which the Prophet ﷺ actually fought the Kuffār of Quraysh was making du’ā to other than Allāh.

Allāh said:

“Say (O Muhammad ﷺ): Who provides for you from the sky and the earth? Or who owns hearing and sight? And who brings out the living from the dead and brings out the dead from the living? And who disposes the affairs?” “They will say: Allāh. Say: Will you not then be afraid of Allāh’s punishment?”

This verse also shows that the Kuffār regarded Allāh as the Almighty, yet they were referred to as disbelievers because they made du’ā to other than Allāh.

Then a person might say, “Daniel is talking about Muslims who believe in Allāh and the Sharee’ah of the Prophet ﷺ. The Kuffār you are talking about did not believe in the Sharee’ah of Islam at all.” The answer to this doubt is from different angles.

You should know that claiming to believe in Allāh and the Sharee’ah of the Prophet ﷺ does not automatically mean that actions of Kufr would not take them out of Islam.

During the time of the Messenger ﷺ, some people believed in the Sharee’ah of the Prophet ﷺ and even went to battle with him. Yet, when they mocked some of the companions, Allāh declared them Kuffār from above the seventh heaven. One of them even came to excuse himself to the Prophet ﷺ, yet the Prophet ﷺ reaffirmed that he was a Kāfir.

The verse:

﴾لَا تَعْتَذِرُوا قَدْ كَفَرْتُمْ بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ﴿

“Make no excuse. You have disbelieved after you had believed.” [Tawbah:66]

Shows that they were indeed believers before, and while they still claimed to believe in the Sharee’ah of the Messenger ﷺ, actions of Kufr took them out of Islam. If mocking the Sahābah, which many might not realize is Kufr, took some people out of Islam, what about calling upon other than Allāh, which is the same action as the Kuffār of Jāhiliyyah?

Also, examine the hadith of Abu Wāqid al-Laythī, where some of those who had just accepted Islam asked the Prophet ﷺ for a “Dhāt Anwāt” (a tree for seeking blessings), just as the Kuffār had. The Prophet ﷺ told them that this was the same as those who said:

أَجْعَل لَّنَا إِلَهًا كَمَا لَهُمْ آلِهَةً

“Make for us an ilāh (a god) as they have āliha (gods).”

This shows that accepting the Sharee’ah of Muhammad ﷺ did not make them free from that ruling once the action was the same. Likewise, seeking something from other than Allāh is taking that thing as a “god.”

Examine this also. The Sahābah declared Musaylamah al-Kadhāb and others who claimed to be prophets as Kuffār. They fought them and killed them, all while Musaylamah also acknowledged the Sharee’ah of the Prophet ﷺ. If saying the Shahādah would have saved a person from being a Kāfir after being involved in clear actions of Kufr, it would have saved Musaylamah and those who believed in him from the swords of the Sahābah.

Daniel needs to learn Islam.

These are just a few clarifications that can fit in a WhatsApp status, but you can learn more about this by studying Al-Qawā‘id al-Arba‘ and Kashf ash-Shubuhāt by Shaykhul Islām Muhammad ibn ‘Abdilwahhāb with the explanations of Salafi scholars.

This further stresses the importance of studying Tawhīd and taking it seriously.

You can see this footnote index[5] for the exact words of major shirk by the misguided Daniel Haqiqatue

Al-Allamah Imam Rabi Hadee Al-Madkhali says “ seeking fame, status and position destroy salafi dawah”.

He(Imam Rabi) Said “...For indeed, many among those who desire leadership end up splitting the ranks of the Salafis. So have fear of Alläh, O' Brothers!Become like one body and beware, be beware, and be beware of splitting-up.

For indeed a number of individuals from among those who desire leadership have split

the ranks of the Salafis in different locations— in the Arab lands and other countries due to desiring leadership and complying to what the devil wants.

So fear Alläh!

Humble yourselves and be gentle with your brothers.

When you actualise solidarity, brotherhood and your statement is one, Salafiyyah

becomes dominant and strong.

However, when you are separated and split-up, Salafiyyah becomes weak and dishonoured amongst the people.

So fear Alläh! — May Alläh bless you all.

The elders should have mercy on the youth, and the youth should respect the elders.

Do not hasten to splitting-up. For Full speech see this footnote[6]

Between Us and You are The Books of the Salaf | Shaykh Rabee ibn Hadee Al Madkhali

Shaykh Rabīʿ ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī said:

Hold fast onto the rope of Allāh ﷻ, and [the thing] that will assist you and will be like the sun for you [in shedding light upon this path] is that you return to the understanding of the Pious Predecessors, and [their understanding] is widespread and available for you [in books, tapes and lessons of the scholars] – as I have previously mentioned to you.

And this is a challenge for whoever disputes this, we challenge the people of innovations and desires, [whether they are] people of innovations in beliefs, or people of political innovations, we say, “Between us and you is the Salaf, between us and you are the books [of the Salaf]”.

Imām Aḥmed used to say to the people of innovations, “Between us and you are the funeral prayers” and likewise we say this and we say, “Between us and you are the books [of the Salaf]” they are available [to read and purchase]. Allāh ﷻ said to his Messenger,

۞ قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِالتَّوْرَاةِ فَاتْلُوهَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

‘Say [O Muḥammed], “Bring here the Torah and recite it, if you are truthful.” (Q 3:93)

So they [the Jews] would come with the Torah and it would expose them. As for these [innovators], we will bring the books of the Salaf, the Qur’ān and the Sunnah. We will bring the books of Al-Bukhārī, Muslim, Abū Dāwūd, Al-Tirmidhī, Al-Nisā’ī and what Aḥmad and other than him authored. We will bring these and [find out] who is upon their way and who threw it away and opposed them!

“Yes, the Salaf is the Sect of Allah (Hizbullah – Quran 58:22)” — Al-ʿAllāmah Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān

Is Salafiyah A Group or a Movement?

Shaykh Hasan As-Somali(who studied under major scholar Imam Muqbil Hadee Al-Wadee in Yemen in 90's) said "Salafiyah is not a group. Salafiyah doesn't have any individual that formulated it is Quran, Sunnah with understanding of Salaf.

So anyone who is upon Quran, Sunnah with the understanding of the salaf as it relates to the Usool(principle), they are from upon the way of Salafiyah whether you know them or whether you don't know them whether that say they are salafi or whether they don't say they are salafi.

Salafiyah is the synonymous to the term sunni or Ahlul Hadith Ahlul-Athar AHleSunnati-wal-Jama'ah. They all mean exactly the same thing. The word AhleSunnati-wal-Jama'ah appear during the time of companions to differentiate between the people of sunnah & the congregation from like of the Khawarij & other than them".

But Still, Isn't Salafiyah a Sect?

Yes, it is but they are the sect of Allah as Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan said "Hijbullah - Hijb(party) of Allah".

Questioner:

Your eminence Shaykh, May Allah make you successful.

We hear some people saying: It is not permissible to affiliate himself with the salaf(pious predecessors). And they consider Salafiyah to be one of today's sects; so what is your opinion about what they said?

The Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan replied:

Yes, the salaf is the sect of Allah.

The salaf is a sect but (it is) the Sect of Allah.

Allah the Almighty says: "Allâh is pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the Party of Allâh. Verily, it is the Party of Allâh that will be the successful".[Surah Al-Mujadila verse 22]

So the Salaf sided with the Book of Quran, Sunnah & Sahaba & thus became the sect of Allah. And those who oppose them are misguided deviant sects.

Sects Vary. There is the sect of Allah & there is the sect of Shaytan. As it's mentioned in the last ayah of surah Al-Mujadilah.There is the sect of Allah & there is the sect of Shaytan. Sects Very. So whoever adheres to the Quran & the Sunnah is with the party of Allah. And whoever is on the wrong path belongs to the path of Shaytan.

And you choose whether you would like to be among the sect of Allah, or that of sect of Shaytan. Choose,

Na'am(yes).

The Salafi Dawah DOES NOT cause Division! | Shaykh Muhammad Nasiruddin Al Albani said: " Verily, those who blame us & say that you cause division(within the ummah). I ask them, we divide what from what? We are the callers to the Quran & Sunnah upon the Methodology(Mnahaj) of the Righteous Pious Predecessors (salaf). So are you with us? If he says, "I am with you", then we haven't caused division. However, if he says "I am not with you", then you are the one who divided from us". Source: 🎧Listen here: You are Causing Division In The Ummah! | Shaykh Al-Albani

The Question was Asked to Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan that:

Some of the "callers" - may Allah guide them - claim that the word "Salafi" divides the people, so do not say " I am Salafi".

The Shaykh replied: "Yes, the term 'salafi' divides the people - it divides between the salafis & the people of innovation & misguidance. Alhamdullilah this is a merit, for a person to be practicing the methodology of the Salaf [Pious Predecessors].

Allah says " And I have followed the religion of my fathers, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob. And it was not for us to associate anything with Allah".[Quran 12:38]

Following the Salaf in the belief is a privillege & a compliment, so we are proud of that & we ask Allah to truly make us of those who are upon the methodology of the salaf & grant us firmness upon it.

Even if the people leave us, our main objective is not to merely gain followers, we call them to the methodology of the salaf & the correct belief. If they accept it, Alhamdullilah, but if they don't, they have to deal with the decisions they made for themselves". Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan on Saying 'I Am Salafi'

Shaykh Salih al-Fawzaan was asked in his lesson on Sharh Fath al-Majeed (23/04/1434H) (MP3):

فضيلة الشيخ وفقكم الله يقول : يقول بعض طلبة العلم إنه لا ينبغي لأحد أن يقول أنا سلفي لأن في هذا تزكية للنفس فهل ما يقوله صحيح ؟

Esteemed Shaykh, may Allah grant you success, he (the questioner) says: Some of the students of knowledge say it is not desirable for anyone to say 'I am Salafi' because this is commendation of oneself. Is it correct what he says?

To which he replied:

إذا كان يقول هذا من باب تزكية نفسه لا يجوز هذا نعم ، اما إذا كان يقوله من باب البيان لأنه بين أحزاب وجماعات مخالفة ويتبرأ منهم ، ويقول أنا سلفي أنا على منهج السلف من باب البراءة هذا طيب ، نعم

"If he says this from the angle of commending himself, it is not permissible. Yes, as for when he says it from the angle of clarifying, because he is amidst the various opposing parties and groups and (desires) to free himself from them, and says 'I am Salafi, I am upon the methodology of the Salaf' from the angle of freeing himself (from them), then this is good. Yes".

Saying I'm Salafi by Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan - Masjid DarruSunnah

Questioner:

What is the ruling on identifying as the follower of the salaf by saying: "I'm Salafi", intending by that to inform about oneself, not self praise.

The person says this due to a multitude of those who oppose the methodology of the salaf & the existence of numerous groups & sects?

Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan replied: "if he says this out of self praise, then this is not permissible. But if he has a reason for saying this & identifies as a follower of the salaf by saying: "I'm Salafi" i.e a situation arises in which these methodologies or ideologies are mentioned & he then says: "No. I adhere to the methodology of the salaf" or "I'm salafi & I'm free from these things" then he has a valid reason & there is no problem in this.

As for saying it out of boastfulness & self praise without a reason, then this is not permissible. This country(Saudi Arabia) and All praise is due to Allah - wholly identifies with the methodology of the salaf. Even though there are those who oppose it or have changed for the worst, but this is rare. Consideration is given to the majority & the majority of the country is on the methodology of the salaf, & all praise is due to Allah."

The Distinction Between a Sunnī And a Salafī | Shaykh Sālih As'Suhaymee

Shaykh Sālih As'Suhaymee said: 'As for the saying: 'I am Sunni & I am not a Salafi.' Then this statement is contradictory! The Sunni O you Miskeen(impoverished person), is the Salafi, & the Salafi is the Sunni.

Whoever distinguishes between the two then he has distinguished between two things that resemble each other;

So the Salaf are the Ahles'Sunnah. And Salafiyoon are the followers of the sunnah, And whoever absolves himself from that then he's not a Sunni nor Salafi.

Ahlus'Sunnah, the Salaf, the followers of the Salaf, the Firqat an-Najjeeyah, the Taifat-ul-Mansoorah, the Jama'ah, the Salafi & the Sunni. All of these mean one title: And they are the Jama'ah, & they are similar to those whom were upon what the Prophet Muhammad (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) & his Companions were upon.

And Shaykh believes that whoever brags with this type of talk (I am Sunni & I am not Salafi) is very far from the Manhaj of the Salaf. So stay away from him, & don't accept from him unless he repents to Allah from speech'.

End of Speech

Why I Say "I Am Sunni Salafi"

Saying "I follow the Qur'an and Sunnah but I don't call myself Salafi" is like saying "I follow the Qur'an and Sunnah, but I don’t call myself Muslim"—because a Muslim by definition is one who submits to Allah by following the Qur'an and Sunnah according to the understanding of the righteous early generations (Salaf as-Salih), whom the Prophet ﷺ described as the best of generations.

The term Salafi is not a new sect or a party. It is an ascription to the Salaf—the first three generations of Muslims: the Sahabah (Companions), the Tabi'een (their students), and the Atba' al-Tabi'een (those who followed them)—whom the Prophet ﷺ said are the best of all generations (Sahih al-Bukhari 6695, 6429, 3651 Sahih Muslim 2533a). So saying "I am Salafi" simply means:

“I follow the Qur’an and Sunnah according to the understanding of the Salaf.”

Just as a person from India says "I am Indian or I am from India"—not "I am India" itself so salafi is the ascription of the salaf—we use proper ascription to identify our orientation. Likewise, Salafi is a correct and meaningful term used for clarity, especially when there is confusion caused by the many deviated sects.

In the time of the Sahabah, when sects like the Khawarij, Shia, Qadariyyah emerged, the Companions identified themselves with labels such as Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah to distinguish themselves from those of innovation and misguidance. Ascription is not the problem; what matters is what the label signifies and whether one adheres to its true meaning. Also what is behind the labels.

For example when we go to extreme sufis like barelvi-sufis, Naqshbandis, they claim to be sunni but what is behind this, it is clear cut major shirk with Allah so does the ascription to sunni benefits them, absolutely not. That’s why salafi publication and those who co-operate with ABukhadeejah, AbuIyaad and other callers from spubs(salafi publication), don’t get deceived when some unknown person online or offline claim to be caller of sunnah salafiyah use the term sunni salafi because the surooris, ikhwani, khawarij, sufiyah, and people of desires know that saying “I follow the Quran and sunnah according to salaf” attracts the laymen muslims, they use it but their agenda behind is to teach deviant Aqeedah(Iman) & Manhaj(Methodology to understand Islam correctly).

Our starting point is the Shahadah: Lā ilāha illā Allāh, Muhammadur Rasūlullāh

The Meaning and Importance of the Shahādah (The Kalimah)

The statement "Lā ilāha illAllāh, Muḥammadur Rasūlullāh" is the foundation of Islam. It is called the Shahādah (testimony of faith) and is the entry point into Islam. Everything in Islam is built upon it.

1. Lā ilāha illAllāh

This means:

“There is no one worthy of worship in truth except Allah.”

  • Lā ilāha (There is no deity/rightful object of worship): This part negates all false gods, idols, saints, graves, or anything else people may worship. From the sects of Islam meaning those who ascribe to Islam, they don’t use the word worship meaning they don’t say, we worship graves of righteous muslims(wali of Allah) but their actions proof it, that is worship.

For example when they(referring to anyone and specifically extreme sufis like barelvi, Naqshbandi, Rawafidh shias and those who follow them) ask for help and assistance from the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, Jesus(Isha) peace be upon him, Ali radiallahuanhu, Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani rahimahullah, Mainuddin chisti(KGN-khawaja Gareeb Namaj) & from other martyrs(Shaheed), Companions and wali(friend) of Allah in front of their graves or far from any location in this earth in any language that they desire is clear cut major shirk with Allah & it is idol worshipping action, Shahdah will not benefit them in this life and in the hereafter & if they die persisting upon such major shirk, they will remain in the hellfire forever(never ending punishment).

Imam Shafi'i from the Aimma Arbah(four Imams) said: “That a person meets Allaah with every sin except Shirk is better than meeting Him upon any one of the innovated beliefs”. - Reported by al-Bayhaqee in al-I'tiqaad (p.158), posted by salafi recording in youtube community tab.

  • illAllāh (except Allah): This affirms that only Allah has the right to be worshipped, loved, obeyed absolutely, and called upon. This is Tawheed (pure monotheism): worshipping Allah alone in truth without associating partners (shirk) with Him.

🔹 This was the core message of all Prophets, from Nūḥ (Noah) to final prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

2. Muḥammadur Rasūlullāh

“Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.”

  • This means believing that Muhammad ﷺ was sent by Allah with the final revelation—the Qur’an—and that he must be obeyed in everything he commanded, believed, and taught.
  • Following the Prophet ﷺ is part of completing Tawheed and is necessary for accepting Lā ilāha illAllāh.

All the Prophets Preached the Same Core Message

Every Prophet called their people to Tawheed, using the phrase Lā ilāha illAllāh in meaning, even if the second part (the Messenger's name) changed:

  • In the time of Mūsā (Moses): Lā ilāha illAllāh, Mūsā Rasūlullāh
  • In the time of ‘Īsā (Jesus): Lā ilāha illAllāh, ‘Īsā Rasūlullāh
  • And in our final  time: Lā ilāha illAllāh, Muḥammadur Rasūlullāh

The first part of the Shahādah (Lā ilāha illAllāh) remains unchanged across all times and nations. The second part identifies the Messenger of that era.

Shahādah: The Highest Branch of Īmān (in arabic it’s called Aqidah & in english called faith)

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Īmān (faith) has over seventy—or over sixty—branches. The most excellent of which is the statement: Lā ilāha illAllāh…”
 (Sahih Muslim, Hadith 35, Sahih al-Bukhari 9)

  • This shows that Shahādah is the foundation and highest level of faith.
  • After it come other acts of worship: prayer, fasting, zakah, good character, modesty, etc.—but all of Islam is built upon this foundation which is Lā ilāha illā Allāh, Muhammadur Rasūlullāh. .

In Summary:

  • Shahādah = Islam's foundation
  • Lā ilāha illAllāh: No one deserves worship in truth except Allah (Tawheed)
  • Muḥammadur Rasūlullāh: The Prophet must be followed and obeyed
  • All Prophets taught this same message
  • It is the highest branch of īmān (faith)

Anyone who understands and follows Tawheed, rejects Shirk, and holds to the correct ‘Aqeedah and Manhaj is upon the saved sect—even if they don’t use the word “Salafi.”
However, using the label
“Sunni,” “Salafi,” “Ahl al-Hadeeth,” or “Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama‘ah” is not only valid, but at times necessary to distinguish the truth from falsehood.

That said, we do not exaggerate—there’s no need to wear t-shirts or show off the label of sunni or salafi in T-shirts. We use it wisely and sincerely when clarity is needed, not as a badge of pride, but as a means to indicate our commitment to the way of the Prophet ﷺ and his companions.

As for who represents this path, it is not based on personalities or slogans, but scholars who have preserved the creed and manhaj of the Salaf, including both past and present:

Past Scholars:
Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Imam Abu Hanifa an-Numan, Imam Shafai, Imam Malik, Imam al-Barbahari, Imam Ibn Taymiyyah, Imam Ibn al-Qayyim, Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, Imam Sufyan al-Thawri, Imam Ibn Kathir, Imam Muhammad ibn Sirin, Imam Hasan al-Basri, Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak, Imam At-Tahaweeh and many others, may Allah have mercy upon them all.

Contemporary Scholars:
Allamah Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan, Allamah Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin al-Abbad, Allamah Imam Ibn Baz, Allamah Imam al-Albani, Allamah Imam Muqbil, Shaykh Muhammad Aman al-Jami, Shaykh Hammad al-Ansari, Shaykh Ahmad al-Najmi, Shaykh Rabee’ al-Madkhali, Shaykh Saalih al-Luhaydan, Shaykh Taqi al-Din al-Hilali, Shaykh Muhsin Khan, Shaykh Saifullah Mubarakpuri, Shaykh al-Shanqeeti, and others may Allah have mercy upon them all.

These scholars represent the methodology of the Salaf in creed(Iman or Aqeedah), worship, da'wah, and character. We align ourselves with their guidance not because of personalities, but because they uphold the truth.

So to say "I am Salafi" means:
“I strive to follow the Qur’an and Sunnah upon the understanding of the righteous Salaf—the Sahabah and those who followed them—just as the Prophet ﷺ praised and instructed us to do.”

Why Do People Hate Allamah Imam Rabi Hadee Al-Madkhali?

  1. Allamah Shaykh ibn Uthaymeen said that the only reason why people criticize the shaykh(referring to Imam Rabi) is because he refuted their figureheads who opposed the methodology of the salaf in rectification.

Allamah Shaykh Muqbil Al-Yemani said this man(Shaykh rabi) is a sign from the signs of Allah in knowing the hizbeen(party of shaitaan as Allamah Shaykh Salih AL Fawzan said, the salaf is the Sect of Allah, quoting Quran 58:22 and all other besides are party of Shaitaan & Hijbees are evil party.) source: The Virtue of Shaykh Rabee' al-Madkhali | Abu Iyaad - YouTube

  1. Ustadh Shamshi mention: “...Sheikh Rabee bin haadi tal-Madkhali Was one of the first scholars to expose Sayyid Qutub(Head of Ikhwani) & Hasan Al-Bannah(Ikhwani, remember and note, there is another Hasan Al-Banna who is sunni-salafi-athari-ahhadees-ahlesunnah-wal-jamah from firqa an-najiyah just like we have sunni salafi ibn Arabi and sufi ibn Arabi).

And to show that their aqeedah(Iman) & madhab goes back to Marxism and Socialism and democracy & so on and mixed with Islam so, Sayyid Qutub is someone that they really respects and love So because Sheikh Rabee exposed him with proof, Exposed the Muslim Brotherhood(known as Ikhwanul Muslimoon or Jamate Islami), Surooris(followers of Muhammad ibn Suroor), Qutbis(followers on the dawah of deviant ikhwani sayed kutub from ikhwani manhaj and imaan). Why is there so much talk regarding Shaykh Rabīʿ and why do they speak ill about him?

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Muḥammad al-Lūḥaydān:

He is an excellent man with regards to his religion and his jealousy of the religion. Do you understand?  Do not pay attention to those who speak ill about him, since he refutes the opposers of the religion. The opposer detests him because he refutes those who oppose [the religion]. As for the one who isn’t an opposer [yet speaks ill of him], It could be that he envies him because he [Shaykh Rabīʿ] is aware of that which they are not aware of. Suffice with Little, and Do Not Seek Wealth from the Hizbis | Shaykh Rabee ibn Hadi al-Madkhali

Ṣaḥiḥ  al-Bukhārī and Muslim, pay attention to them by studying, understanding and memorising. Also pay attention to the books of Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn al-Qayyim and the scholars of the Islamic propagation in Najd, pay attention to and understand them and tread in their light, May Allah bless you.

Also do not extend your hands to the organisations like ‘Ihya at-Turāth and other than them, rather be self-sufficient with what Allah gave you from wealth even if it's little - May Allah bless you- For indeed, the Salafī call was established upon the backs of the Salafīs with what they had from little wealth and much poverty. It was not established by gathering wealth, gathering wealth corrupts the Islamic Call- receiving money from the non-Salafī foreign centres and organisations leads to the loss of  as-Salafīyyah. So be warned - the most severe of warnings from co-operating with these organisations and be self-sufficient with what Allah gave you from wealth even if it's little. May Allah bless you.

Also, tread the path of the Salaf in abstinence and piety - May Allah bless you- and by spreading the Salafi Call upon the correct manner

May Allah give victory to all of us. Furthermore, I specifically warn you against ‘Ihyaa at-Turāth, for verily they strive hard in the world to split the Salafīs and change them to the methodology of ʿAbd ur-Raḥmān AbdalʿAbdal-Khāliq, the extreme ikhwānī.

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Al-Luḥaydān said:

Shaykh Rabee’ bin Hādī al-Madkhalī is from the people of knowledge... Correct! Blessed is the man—yes (naʿam). And he is one who adheres to the correct Salafi creed.

Shaykh Al-Albānī said:

I say that the flag bearer of the science of Criticism and Praise (Jarḥ wa-Taʿdīl) in this current time—rightfully so—is our brother Dr. Rabee’ al-Madkhalī. And those who attempt to disprove him, never do they disprove him with knowledge—ever.

Imām Ibn Bāz said:

Shaykh Rabee’ is among the best of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamāʿah.

Shaykh Zayd al-Madkhalī said:

The books of Shaykh Rabee’ are books of the Sunnah. They are books that correct creedal beliefs.

Shaykh Aḥmad al-Najmī said:

Yes! Knowledge is taken from Shaykh Rabee’.

Imām Muqbil bin Hādī al-Wādiʿī said:

Shaykh Rabee’, may Allāh preserve him—I came to know him in the city of the Prophet (Madinah). He is a scholar from the greatest of scholars.

Imām Rabee’ bin Hādī al-Madkhalī said himself:

All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, companions, and whoever follows his guidance.

As for what follows: I advise myself and my Salafi brothers in every place—rather, all Muslims—with the fear of Allah and mindfulness of Him in private and in public.

I advise myself and them to give great importance to knowledge, because people in our time are in dire need of the presence of scholars.

And the presence of scholars cannot arise until groups of students of knowledge emerge—preparing themselves with proper preparation so they can rise to the level of scholarship and lead the Ummah with the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ, upon the path of the righteous predecessors (
al-Salaf al-Ṣāliḥeen), in that which is pleasing to Allah.

2. Allamah Imam Saifullah Mubarakpoori or Mubarakfuri says regarding Allamah Shaykh Rabi Hadee Al Madkhali that:

I found him the possessor of abundant knowledge, great virtue, a possessor of sound understanding and an upright character, upon the way of the Salaf As-Sālih (may Allah be pleased with them) in belief and action, following the Book [of Allah] and the Sunnah, aiding them and defending them―harsh upon the people of innovation and desires, refuting the blind followers with whom the greater part of their efforts in the recital of Hadeeth is only to seek Hadeeth which agree with the Madhab of their Imām―so may Allah bless him in his knowledge, and bless the Muslims by Allah giving him a long life.” (Slightly edited from the original translation by Abul-Hasan Mālik Al-Akhdar, may Allah preserve him)

I came to Know his [of Shaykh Rabee] and Precision in Knowledge' - al-Mubarakfuree by Shaykh ʿAbdullah al-Bukhārī

Shaykh ʿAbdullah al-Bukhārī said:

As for Shaykh Ṣayf ur-Raḥmān al-Mubārakfūrī, I also studied with him. I read to him the 6 books [of ḥadīth], and we would go through portions of them and we went through Jāmi’ al-Tirmidhī plentifully, and some books of naḥw and ṣarf which were popular in India. Likewise some books of ʿAqīdah and other than that. I stayed with him for approximately two years, and the Shaykh would be silent mostly, he loved the Sunnah and an aider of it.

I remember when I asked him about our Shaykh, Shaykh Rabī’ – because Shaykh (Rabī’) remained there in India for a number years in Varanasi , approximately 7 years, and during that time I believe he authored the book, his Master’s dissertation ‘Between the Two Imāms; Muslim and al-Dāraquṭnī’. And the first edition of the book – which is the one I have – was published there in Varanasi at Salafi Publication in Varanasi, India.

He said: ‘Shaykh Rabī’ delegated me to supervise the edition because he left it [in India] and returned [to KSA - kingdom of Saudi Arabia], ‘So I supervised the publishing of the dissertation there’  He – and I always remember this, said, ‘I never imagined until now, that I would supervise a dissertation being published, that the Shaykh delved and penetrated the science of ‘ilal (defects) to this extent, until I actually supervised this dissertation and I came to know his mastery and precision in knowledge’. Importance of Scholars

It is not enough just to read or to listen tapes recording, rather these are just for beneficial purposes. As for depending on the internet & considering oneself a knowledgeable person(scholar or Alim), this is a huge mistake[8] . Yes, you can benefit yourself from authentic and verified channels[9]

-----context-end

Knowledge will be taken away by the death of scholars (ulema) until not one of them remains. Then the people will take ignorant people as scholars.[10]

The scholars are the heirs(inheritors) of the prophets & they leave behind knowledge; so he who takes it has taken an enormous share[11]. Islamic Knowledge is found within the chest of the scholars. Allah said: "Ask the people of knowledge if you don't know"[12] . If you differ in anything refer back to the prophet & those who are in authority(scholars).[13]

From the signs of the Hours is "knowledge among will be taken away" And it will be taken away by the death of scholars.[14]

".....when the scholars have passed away and died, the people will all be at the same level – so they will not enjoin the good, nor forbid the evil, and at that point, they will be ruined." [15]
-----context-end

ʿAbdullāh Ibn Masʿūd (radiyallāhu ʿanhu) said:“Whoever wants to follow a path, let him follow the path of one who has died, for the living are not safe from fitnah ...continue”[16]

Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz ibn Marwan said: " Become a scholar if you are able.If you are not able, then be a student. If you can not, then show love for them.If you are unable to do that, then (at least) do not hate them.[17]

And Allamah Imam Rabi' ibn Hādī al-Madkhali mentioned: "It is incumbent upon the Ummah to recognize the station and the level of the scholars . They (the Ummah) must also know that it is obligatory for them to love and obey the scholars. Hating the scholars is considered hating the religion of Allah and the carriers of this religion; in fact, hating the scholars leads to hating the correct knowledge which they inherit from the prophets. So, woe to those who despise them and their beliefs."[18]

Be aware, respecting the Ulema(scholars) means respecting the Scholars(Ulema) of AHleSunnah-wal-Jamah-Sunni-Salafiyoon-Ahlehadees-Athari-Firqa-an-Najiyah & we hate Ahlebidat Imams, Heads & Callers[19] .

Seeking Knowledge From Books Alone Is Not Sufficient by Shaykh Salih Al Fawzan[20]

The questioner asked:
Does it suffice in seeking knowledge to read books and the explained text of the people of knowledge without attending the (actual) gatherings of the scholars? Please benefit us may you be of those rewarded.

Al-Allaamah Salih al-Fawzan (may Allaah preserve him) said:
"This is misguidance. The one who limits (learning) to books (only) this is a misguided path. It is a must (to learn) from the scholars. It is a must to take knowledge from the scholars (directly)...

As for books, they are only a means, just as a weapon which if in your possession, how do/would you use it without learning how to. It is a must to learn how to use the weapon from those who know how to and they will train you in that. The scholars are those who train (the people) how to use the books.

Yes! [Translator: Abu Anas Atif Hasan - from Muwahhideen Publications]

Who should we take knowldge from? Shaykh Salih Al Fawzan[21]

Question: Who should we take knowledge & seek [fatawa] from , & what are the attributes of the people of knowledge(AHleIlm) & Fatawa?
Answer by Shaykh Salih Al Fawzan:
You should take knowledge from the scholars, either in the mosques, if they sit [and teach], in the mosques(masjid) or by formal education in schools, colleges or faculties in universities.

You should take knowledge from the scholars & should not take it from the ignorant ones or take it from papers, by reading or books.

This is not [considered to be] seeking of knowledge. This may even lead a person to the opposite of what is intended, he may misunderstand or read a books that has evil in it or doubts causing his mind to be polluted.

So you should stay in regular contact with the scholars in the mosques, schools & platforms of knowledge.
Those whom fatawa are sought from are well known with the people.
General fatawa, should be directed to the Darul Ifta(Fatwa committiee), individual fatawa should be directed to those whose knowledge & religion(deen) you trust.

How to Recognize the Callers to Misguidance | Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Al Fawzān[22]

The Questioner: The following question is from the student ʿAlī Jābir who thanks your eminence and says how do we know the callers to misguidance in this time who incite unrest and turmoil; particularly those who do so through social media?
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān:

"First of all, one must know where did they study and from where did they take knowledge? This is the first thing.
Secondly, you must know the methodology which they traverse upon.
Who do they imitate? Whose example do they follow? Do they follow the example of the Imāms of Islām and the scholars of Islām or do they follow other than them?
So there must be a distinction made between these people and other than them by knowing from where did they take knowledge, who did they study with and who did they develop under? So that their origin, methodology and history can be known."

Whoever Doesn’t Spend At Least 16 Hours Seeking Knowledge is Not a Student of Knowledge – Shaykh Ahmad al-Najmi[23]

Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá al-Najmī said:
I was in Riyadh in the year 1384 AH. Thereafter we were invited for coffee with him, so I went. I remember a statement of his, he said, ‘He who doesn’t spend at least 16 hours during the day and night in seeking knowledge is not a student of knowledge.

Questioner:
Was that Shaykh al-Ghudayān?
Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá al-Najmī then said:
Yes, by Allah ﷻ! I heard this with my own ears whilst sitting with him. He said, ‘He who doesn’t spend at least 16 hours during the day and night in seeking knowledge is not a student of knowledge.

Which Books Should a Student of Knowledge Begin With? And what are the lists of beneficial Islamic Books?[24]

An absolute beginner student of knowledge should begin with reading, memorizing & understanding the book of Allah i.e. Quaran.[By Al-Allamah Imam Abdul Aziz Bin Baz Rahimahullah - The most authentic, noblest and greatest book dealing with the subject of Aqidah and other subjects is the Glorious Qur’an]

Read & understand under the major(Kibaar or seniors) Scholars by travelling to the scholars if you can otherwise understand what is important & beneficial for you & act upon it so that you may be successful in the hereafter because Knowledge is just a means & Acting(Amal) is the Asal(Origin) & this is what benefits you in the hereafter. Ameen!

The Sources of Tafsīr by Shaykh Ṣāleḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān حفظه الله

  1. The first source is the Quran itself because the verse of the Quaran explain each other
  2. The second affair that explains the Quran is the Sunnah of the Messanger Muhammad peace be upon him, the Sahih(Authentic) Hadith
  3. The third affair is the Tafsir of the companions(Sahabha) May Allah pleased with them all
  4. The fourth affair is the Tafsir of the Tabiin(Student of Sahabha)
  5. The fifth affair is, if the Tafsir is not found in the Quran nor the sunnah nor the saying of the companions or the Tabiin, then it returns to the Arabic language.

word for word of daneil major shirk -below

1)...... timing 1:46:40

guys imagine this scenario where a

Christian is praying to Jesus and saying

oh imagine this Christian has some kind

of disease like leprosy it's like a skin

condition and he knows that

Jesus can heal leprosy and he prays

to Jesus and he thinks that Jesus is God

and also the Son of God in the Trinity

and he prays Jesus heal me from my

leprosy and is this Shirk or not

obviously it's shirk Akbar clearcut no

doubt about it and anyone who doubts

that praying to Jesus as a as God is

committing shirk is also a kafir if you

doubt that because it's very clearcut

this is this is praying to to another

God other than the God Allah so that's

that's the Christian but then this

Christian he learns about Islam he reads

the Quran it starts to make sense and

then he becomes a Muslim he accepts

Islam but he becomes like a Sufi he

becomes a Sufi Muslim and he starts

thinking about Jesus well Jesus is a

prophet and Jesus had these different

Miracles he could cure the sick uh by

the power of Allah by the will of Allah

so Jesus is like a Jesus is like a saint

and I'm going to pray to Jesus I'm going

to do to the Istigatha to Saint to Jesus to heal my

leprosy oh Jesus heal my leprosy this is

so he the word is the wording is the

same the Dua is the same the only thing

that has been that is different is his

beliefs right because before he believed

that Jesus is God after he believes that

Jesus is a wali and is not God and he's a wali

that can only do miracles through

Allah but the act the Dua is the same

exact Dua for the exact same thing and

to the to you know Jesus what has

changed is just his belief about Jesus

is Jesus God or is Jesus a person a

prophet who has been granted the power

to heal miraculously by

Allah are these two acts exactly the

same the Salafi who say that and praying

to the prophet or praying to Jesus is

like what Jake claimed and what all

these other people are claiming if it's

that means it's exactly like the Dua

that he was making when he was a

Christian but obviously it's not

obviously there's there's a difference

why because he has different beliefs he

doesn't think that Jesus is God anymore

he he's a Muslim he says the shahada he

believes that only Allah is God and only

Allah is Lord and only Allah should be

worshipped as God that's his belief so how

can what he says after becoming a Muslim

be exactly the same as what he said as a

Christian it can't be it can't be the

same thing because his beliefs have

changed so that's why I think it's

reasonable to say that well before when

he was a Christian he committed Shirk Akbar

after he became a Muslim he's also doing

something that if you say it's shirk I'm

not going to argue with you I'm not

going to argue with you that it's not shirk

but can I be 100% sure that what he did

is shirk akbar in the same way as a Christian

praying to Jesus no I can't say that

with 100% confidence...... end 1:50:05

2). The exact same belief and practice mentioned by the deviant Daniel is followed by Barelvi-Sufis and Rawafid Shias. These groups — Sufis, Shias, Barelwis, and Rawafid Shias — hate those who oppose their beliefs and actions of major shirk and major kufr.

If you read the book written by the founder of Dawat-e-Islami and Madani Channel, the so-called ‘Allamah Maulana Ilyas Qadri Attari, titled “Miraculous Wonders of Sayyiduna 'Ali”—translated and published by Dawat-e-Islami and available for free on their official website (https://www.dawateislami.net/bookslibrary/en/miraculous-wonders-of-sayyiduna-ali)—you will find that it promotes the same beliefs and actions that fall under major shirk and major kufr.

Such beliefs and practices render a person a disbeliever (kafir) and a polytheist (mushrik). If someone dies upon such beliefs, they will remain in Hell forever, regardless of how many times they may have recited the Shahada (Kalimah), because major shirk and major kufr nullify the declaration of faith — La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasoolullah (There is no deity worthy of worship in truth except Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah).

below is word to word quote from his(Iliyash Qadri) Wonders of ALi book:

"According to true Islamic beliefs, if someone seeks help from the

Anbiyā Kirām and Awliyā Kirām in the mistaken belief that they are

responsible for all harms and favours without the will of Allah  ;

then this is indeed Shirk (associating partners with Allah  ). On

the other hand, if someone having a strong belief that Allah

the real and true Helper and the Owner of all harms and favours, if

that person seeks help from someone (being merely a potential

helper due to blessings and divine favour) then it is not at all Shirk,

and this is our very religious belief." [reference: page 49 & 50 pdf book "Miraculous Wonders of Sayyiduna 'Ali" by so called Iliyash Qadri founder of Madani Channel DawateIslami-pakistan].

Note: This book was written in our era, in which no prophets (ambiya) are alive in this worldly life. Yes, we affirm that the prophets are alive in the barzakh (life of the grave), but they are dead in the worldly sense. The life of this world and the life of barzakh are completely different. All the prophets are not alive in this world like us; rather, they are alive in their graves (barzakh), as affirmed by sound Islamic belief based on quranic verses and sahih hadiths.

So do not assume that the misguided leader Ilyas Qadri is referring to people who are alive, present, and capable of helping in a worldly sense. No — if you continue reading his book, especially the final chapter titled “Ruling on Seeking Help Other Than Allah,” you will find that he applies the ruling of asking help from living people who are physically present and capable — and falsely applies that same ruling to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), ʿAli (radiAllahu ʿanhu), Shaykh ʿAbdul Qādir al-Jīlānī, and other  “awliya” (friends of Allah). This is a clear act of major shirk, without doubt.

For clarity on the correct belief regarding the verse “Do not say: They are dead”, refer to:

These references clarify that the life in barzakh is not the same as worldly life.

Let me refute below principle:

Claim: below is word to word quote from his(Iliyash Qadri) Wonders of ALi book:

"According to true Islamic beliefs, if someone seeks help from the

Anbiyā Kirām and Awliyā Kirām in the mistaken belief that they are

responsible for all harms and favours without the will of Allah  ;

then this is indeed Shirk (associating partners with Allah  ). On

🚫 Refutation of Barelwi-Sufi Ilyas Qadri’s Shirk in the Book “Miraculous Wonders of Sayyiduna ‘Ali”

📌 Claim from Ilyas Qadri’s Book (p. 49–50):

“According to true Islamic beliefs, if someone seeks help from the Ambiya and Awliya with the belief that they are responsible for all harms and favors without the will of Allah, then this is indeed shirk. But if someone, believing Allah is the true Owner and Helper, seeks help from others as ‘potential helpers due to divine blessings,’ then this is not shirk, and this is our religious belief.”

🔍 Refutation Using Clear Tawhid Principles:

Let’s begin by addressing the central deception here: this quote from Ilyas Qadri is an attempt to disguise major shirk as acceptable belief by falsely creating two categories of isti’anah (seeking help) & istighatha(seeking help in difficult times):

  1. Seeking help from those who have passed away from this worldly life — including the prophets, messengers, martyrs (shuhadāʼ), companions, or awliyāʼ of Allah — without the will, help, power, blessings or divine favour of Allah is major shirk (as he himself admits). And we also admit it this is major shirk and even if someone claim with Allah’s will, power, favour then still it’s major shirk according to clear cut of verses of Quran.
  2. Believing that those who have passed away from this worldly life — including the prophets, messengers, martyrs (shuhadāʼ), companions, or awliyāʼ of Allah — helps people from their barzakh (life of the grave), whether someone asks at their graves or from far distant places in this world, while claiming that they help peoples in times of difficulties(which is istigatha) and at any time(istianah) through Allah’s will, help, power, favour,  or divine blessings — is falsely claimed by him to be not shirk. He asserts that they can assist in this way, which is a clear deviation from the correct creed(Iman) & it is major shirk. This distinction does not exist in the Qur’an and Sunnah.

⚠️ Case Study: Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani (rahimahullah)

Barelwi-Sufis follow the Qadiriyyah Sufi order, which is attributed to Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani — a righteous Hanbali scholar and wali of Allah, as confirmed by scholars like Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan.

However, Barelwis have gone beyond the bounds of Tawhid by attributing divine qualities to Shaykh Abdul Qadir after his death:

❌ Example 1: Attributing Unlimited Language Knowledge to Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani

They believe that Shaykh Abdul Qadir can understand and respond in all world languages (e.g., Hindi, English, Nepali, Spanish, Indonesian—even future languages). But this is blatant major shirk, because:

  • In his lifetime, Shaykh Abdul Qadir (rahimahullah) only understood languages like Arabic, Persian, and perhaps Iraqi dialects.
  • After his death, how can he suddenly understand all languages from around the globe — including future ones? ❗ plus how he can hear all of us at once which we commonly see many people invoking wali of Allah at the same time at righteous muslims graves tomb commonly found in India, Pakistan and other Arabs world.

🔊 Only Allah is Al-‘Alīm (All-Knowing) and As-Samī‘ (All-Hearing), and only He understands and hears everything from all His creation — simultaneously and without limit.

➡️ Attributing this perfect and absolute attribute to anyone besides Allah — even in part — is major shirk (shirk akbar).

🎯 What is a “Partner” (Shirk)?

If I own a company and give someone 30% of it, that person becomes a partner, even if not equal.

Likewise, even if the Barelwis claim that Abdul Qadir is not equal to Allah, they still attribute a share in divine hearing and knowledge to him — this is partnership (shirk) which is major shirk.

⛔ And remember, idol worshippers at the time of Nūḥ (عليه السلام) didn’t believe their idols were equal to Allah.

📜 False Justification by Ilyas Qadri

In the same book, Ilyas Qadri anticipates this objection and attempts to refute it with the following argument:

Q: Shaykh Abdul Qadir used to speak Arabic and Persian. How can he now understand people calling him in Urdu, English, Pashto, etc.?

A: If a woman angers her husband in any language, the Pure Maiden (Hur of Jannah) understands it. Therefore, how could the Chief of Awliya not understand other languages after death? And he quoted hadith in trimedhi.

🧨 Response to This False Analogy:

  1. Someone might say: “He is using the “concept of understanding all languages by the barzakhī righteous Muslims (awliyā’ of Allah). The answer to this is clearly no, because he tries to derive a ruling from the Tirmidhī hadīth regarding the ḥūr al-ʿīn (pure maidens of Paradise) — and fails.”

This is because Shaykh ʿAbdul Qādir al-Jīlānī and other righteous Muslims fall under the special category of awliyā’ of Allah (friends of Allah), whereas the ḥūr al-ʿīn do not fall under the category ofawliyā’ of Allah (friends of Allah).

In addition, Shaykh ʿAbdul Qādir al-Jīlānī, the other awliyā’, and even the Prophets and Messengers were born in this worldly life, died, and then entered the barzakh. In contrast, the ḥūr al-ʿīn were never born in this life, never lived or died in the dunyā, and hence did not enter barzakh from this world.

So the principle that Ilyās Qādrī is trying to establish is false, misleading, and a clear form of major shirk with Allah — no doubt about it.

This issue is not related to minor matters (fiqh al-asghar) such as manners or interpersonal dealings, where one might have room to derive flexible meanings. Rather, this matter pertains to Fiqh al-Akbar (the greater understanding) of Islam — the knowledge related to Tawḥīd and major shirk — and therefore deriving evidence from the ḥadīth of the ḥūr al-ʿīn (pure maidens of Paradise) is not valid at all.

  1. This is a deception. Ilyas Qadri tries to divert attention from major shirk by using a fabricated or weak analogy that has no direct support in Qur’an or Sunnah as scholars said:

Using unclear verses of the Qur’an, ambiguous hadiths, or isolated statements of major scholars to support false major shirk beliefs or innovation is a known method of the people of desires (Ahlul-Ahwāʼ) and the people of innovation (Ahlul-Bid‘ah). Allah warns against this approach in the Qur’an, saying:

“It is He who has sent down to you [O Muhammad] the Book. In it are verses that are clear (muḥkamāt) — they are the foundation of the Book — and others are ambiguous (mutashābihāt). As for those in whose hearts is deviation, they follow what is ambiguous thereof, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [that suits them]. But no one knows its true interpretation except Allah…”
 (Surah Āl ʿImrān, 3:7)

This verse clearly identifies the people of deviation as those who abandon the clear, foundational teachings and pursue unclear, ambiguous texts to justify their falsehood. Many innovators throughout history have used this exact tactic — quoting verses or narrations without context, or misusing the speech of scholars — in an attempt to legitimize their misguidance.

  1. The hadith about Hur (pure maidens of Jannah) does not mention them hearing or understanding human speech of this world. It is vague and does not support his claim.
  2. Hur (maidens of Jannah) are a creation of the Hereafter — not human beings who lived, died, and entered barzakh.

Shaykh Abdul Qadir (rahimahullah), the Prophet ﷺ, Fāṭimah (رضي الله عنها), Imām Ḥusayn, and other awliyāʼ of Allah from the past were human beings — but noble and high-ranking humans — but still born, and they died in this worldly life. The highest of them in ranking  is the last Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In contrast, the Ḥūr al-ʿĪn (pure maidens) of Paradise are a special creation of Allah, never born and never subjected to death like human beings. Whether one is a prophet, companion, martyr, or wali of Allah, they are still human in high status in front of Allah, born and died from this worldly life  — not like the Ḥūr al-ʿĪn(women of paradise). So comparing them is completely irrational and deceptive.

Also, as mentioned earlier, the hadith that is often quoted about the Ḥūr al-ʿĪn(women of paradise) to support their major shirk of calling for help and assistance from prophets, messengers, wali-of-Allah does not say they listen to or understand the arguments or speech of people using various languages. There is no indication in the authentic hadith that the Ḥūr al-ʿĪn hear human speech in worldly languages or respond to it.

Therefore, this comparison made by Ilyas Qadri and others like him from the Barelvi-Sufi sect is baseless. It is a clear distortion used to justify the practice of calling upon the dead(meaning of dead for high status pious muslim or any general muslim is:  they are not alive in this world but alive in the barzakh and dead in this world.) — a practice that amounts to major shirk. These people believe in it, promote it, practice it, and hate those who oppose it. This is clear falsehood and a dangerous deviation from the pure Tawheed taught by the Prophet ﷺ.

📚 Final Word: Clear-Cut Shirk

It is crystal clear that calling upon Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani — claiming he:

  • hears all voices in all languages,
  • understands everyone at once,
  • and responds from his grave —

is major shirk in the Names and Attributes of Allah.

Allah says:

"And who is more astray than one who calls upon others besides Allah — such as will not respond to him until the Day of Resurrection — and they are unaware of their call."
 (Surah Al-Ahqaf 46:5)

Shaykh Abdul Qadir can hear & understand all languages after death -❌ Major Shirk because Only Allah is Al-‘Alīm(All Knowledgable) and As-Samī‘(All-Hearing) not any human beings.

Comparing Abdul Qadir to the Hur of Jannah - ❌ Invalid Analogy - Hur are not human, neither born and died unlike human beings who born, lived this life and dead from this world.

Breakdown:

Exact Speech from his book: Question 12: Shaykh ‘Abdul Qādir Jīlānī  would speak

Arabic & Persian languages. How would he help those calling upon

him in different languages – for example, Urdu, English, Pashto,

Panjabi, etc.

Answer: If a woman angers her husband in any language, the Pure

Maiden of Paradise, his would-be spouse, understands it.

Understanding other languages by the Pure Maidens of Paradise

There is a saying of the Beloved and Blessed Prophet:

When a woman angers her husband in the world, the Pure Maiden

speaks to his wife and says:

Meaning: May you be ruined! Do not hurt him, his days are

numbered. Leaving you alone, he will soon come to us. - (Jamiah Trimizi vol.2 pp. 392, Hadis 1177)

Therefore a Pure Maiden can definitely understand other languages,

then how can it be possible that the Chief of the Awliyā (saints),

Sayyidunā Ghauš-e-A’ẓam cannot understand other

languages after death! End of speech - source: miraculous-wonders-of-sayyiduna-ali book by Deviant Iliyash Qadri barelvi sufi on pdf page 67, question number 12.

Now, If you read the hadith and compare his speech, clearly he’s(Iliyash qadri sufi barelvi) is lying and distorting the hadith to fit his false claim and evil agenda. Read below hadiths:

Mu’adh bin Jabal narrated that The Prophet said: “No woman annoys her husband in the world except that his wife among the Al-Huril-Ain said: ‘Do not annoy him, may Allah destroy you, he is only like a guest with, soon he will part from you for us.’”

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1174

Grade: Hasan (Darussalam)

It was narrated from Mu'adh bin Jabal that: the Messenger of Allah said: "No woman annoys her husband but his wife among houris (of Paradise) safs: 'Do not annoy him, may Allah destroy you, for he is just a temporary guest with you and soon he will leave you and join us."'

Sunan Ibn Majah 2014

Grade: Hasan (Darussalam)

Mu'adh bin Jabal (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whenever a woman harms her husband in this world (that is without any due right), his wife among the (Houris in Jannah) says: 'You must not harm him. May Allah destroy you! He is only a passing guest with you and is about to leave you to come to us". [At-Tirmidhi, who classified as Hadith Hasan].

Riyad as-Salihin 287

His claim: Answer: If a woman angers her husband in any language, the Pure Maiden of Paradise, his would-be spouse, understands it.

Response: Read the above three hadiths whic are up to level of Hasan(Good) grade. First of all, the hadith doesn’t says, women angers her husband in any language. The deviant barelvi-sufi Iliyash Qadri assume “in any language” phrase because to harm or to make upset anyone, the person doesn’t have to speak, can aslo be done with action alone. So this is(in any language) phrase is addition which doesn’t exist in the hadith meaning neither in Arabic text of hadith.

His claim: pure maiden(Huryeen) of paradise understands it any language.

Response: First of Allah, the pure maiden(women of paradise) in the hadith which I quoted and iliyash qadri deviant barelvi-sufi quoted didn’t mention pure maiden understand language. The hadith says: they speak and they(Haurayeen or maiden) mention the words: “‘Do not annoy him, may Allah destroy you, he is only like a guest with, soon he will part from you for us.”. Also this is from the unseen(Ghayab) because we know our wives don’t hear these words utter by women of paradise(maidens).

His claim: When a woman angers her husband in the world, the Pure Maiden

speaks to his wife and says:

Meaning: May you be ruined! Do not hurt him, his days are

numbered. Leaving you alone, he will soon come to us.

Response: As I said earlier, the hadith didn’t mention the phrase “he Pure Maiden

speaks to his wife & pure maiden understand in any language”, this is clearly addition in hadith which is coming from the corrupt mind and heart of barelvi-sufi Iliyash Qadri, founder of DawateIslami Madani Channel,Pakistan. Similarly, I said earlier, it is from the unseen(Ghayab) matter which no one knows the reality except Allah because Hurayeen(Pure Maiden) never born and die like us and Allah don’t send them on the earth likewise our wives don’t hear the voice of pure maiden(women of paradise) when they utter..

His claim: Therefore a Pure Maiden can definitely understand other languages,

then how can it be possible that the Chief of the Awliyā (saints),

Sayyidunā Ghauš-e-A’ẓam cannot understand other

languages after death!

Response: From the above responses, it is clear, that Pure maiden(women of paradise) don’t understand all the languages and hadith has no such text. And deviant barelvi-sufi Iliyash Qadri is comparing Hurayeen to pious men Shaykh Abdul Qadir jilani to try to justify his claims which is absolutely false and misguidance because Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani was a pious muslim men, in no way he(shaykh) resembles to Hurayeen of paradise. This concept is not comparable as I discuss in above claims.

Note: Someone might say: “He is using the concept of understanding all languages by the barzakhī righteous Muslims (awliyā’ of Allah).” The answer to this is clearly no, because he tries to derive a ruling from the Tirmidhī hadīth regarding the ḥūr al-ʿīn (pure maidens of Paradise) — and fails.

This is because Shaykh ʿAbdul Qādir al-Jīlānī and other righteous Muslims fall under the special category of awliyā’ of Allah (friends of Allah), whereas the ḥūr al-ʿīn do not fall under the category of walī of Allah.

What I mentioned earlier — that attributing such claims to Shaykh ʿAbdul Qādir al-Jīlānī (رحمه الله), who has passed away and is in barzakh, not in this world — constitutes major shirk with Allah’s Names and Attributes, specifically al-ʿAlīm (The All-Knowing) and as-Samīʿ (The All-Hearing). This is a clear, simple, and undeniable refutation of those who commit major shirk by claiming that awaliyah of Allah(friends of Allah) after their permanent death from this worldliy life , respond, or comprehend all languages when someone asks for help and assistance infront of his graves or far from his graves in this worldly life..

Anyone who is not biased, and who does not carry a corrupt agenda, will easily understand and affirm this — even non-Muslims, such as Hindus, Christians, and even children, can grasp the clarity and logic of this refutation.

Wallāhi (By Allah), deep down, individuals like Ilyās Qādrī and others from the Barelvi-Sufi sects or anyone know very well that this is major shirk. But due to arrogance, hatred, love of fame, money, status and followers, they reject this basic Islamic knowledge and continue to deceive the awām (common Muslims) around the world.

What I have presented is foundational knowledge of Islam — every Muslim must know and understand Tawḥīd, shirk, and the Names and Attributes of Allah. There is no excuse for ignorance or distortion in these matters.

End of Note

In the same way, how can anyone claim that ‘Ali ibn Abī Ṭālib (رضي الله عنه) is helping millions of people from his barzakh (life of the grave) — by Allah’s will, power, favour, and blessing — when during his earthly life, he was killed by ‘Abdur-Raḥmān ibn Muljim, the Khārijite, by the decree and permission of Allah?

If, during his life in this world — with all his piety, knowledge, and closeness to the most high Allah— he could not prevent his own death from killing, then how is it logical or Islamic to believe that after his worldly death, he is now responding to millions of people, from different parts of the world, in different languages, helping them with matters like:

  • Yā ‘Ali madad (O ‘Ali, help me)
  • Yā ‘Ali, grant me children and wealth
  • Yā ‘Ali, cure me from illness
  • Yā ‘Ali, bless me

This belief — that he(Ali radiallahoanhu) understand their requests, and fulfill them — is clear and undeniable major shirk (associating partners with Allah). It violates the core of Tawḥīd in Allah’s Names and Attributes, specifically:

  • As-Samī‘ (The All-Hearing)
  • Al-‘Alīm (The All-Knowing)
  • Al-Qadīr (The All-Powerful)

Only Allah alone can hear everyone’s call simultaneously, understand every language, know what is in the hearts, and respond with divine power. Attributing these abilities to ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) or any created being — even a companion, prophet, or martyr — is pure major shirk, without any doubt.

This belief contradicts not only logic and the Qur’an but also the very life story of ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) himself, who never taught or allowed people to call upon him after his death from this world, remember when we say death to prophets, messengers, wali-of-Allah, martyrs(shaheed), Shahabah then it means death from this worldly life but they are alive in the barzakh life(life of the graves) which is unseen and we don’t know how as Allah states in Quran.

The last and final Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also did not understand all languages. In fact, he did not understand the Hebrew language, which is why he instructed Zayd ibn Thābit (رضي الله عنه) to learn Hebrew in order to communicate with the Jews.

Narrated Zayd ibn Thābit (رضي الله عنه):

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered me to learn the writing of the Jews, and I learned for him some of the writing of the Jews. He said: 'I do not trust the Jews with my letters.'"

Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 63, Hadith 210
(Arabic Ref:
Hadith 7195) & there are many other corresponding evidences in other books of hadith which are saheeh.

Yes, the Prophet ﷺ did understand the language of camels, stones, trees, and other inanimate objects — but that was a miracle, something that went against the universal laws set by Allah. Even if someone claims it wasn’t a miracle but part of his human capacity, still, he never claimed to understand all human languages during his life, nor did anyone from the Salaf say so, rather hadith proofs that he didn’t understand hebrew(language of jews still today).

Furthermore, many new languages have emerged in modern times, and more will continue to emerge in the future. So to claim that the final Prophet ﷺ — or anyone after him — can now, from his grave or barzakh life, understand every language, including all past, present, and future languages, is to attribute to him what belongs only to Allah, specifically His Names and Attributes:

  • Al-‘Alīm – The All-Knowing
  • As-Samī‘ – The All-Hearing

Attributing such divine qualities to the Prophet ﷺ — or any human — is major shirk with Allah.

Also, the ability of the Prophet ﷺ to understand the speech of animals or inanimate objects during his lifetime was a mu‘jizah (miracle). But if someone now claims that the Prophet ﷺ  from the grave or barzakh, understand the speech of trees, stones, animals, or humans in all languages, then such a claim is major shirk & such person is mushrik kafir. This is because it falsely attributes the divine attribute of limitless hearing and comprehension to a creation of Allah.

Rebuttal of the Hūr al-‘Īn Analogy

The ḥadīth about the Ḥūr al-‘Īn (pure maidens of Jannah) does not state that they hear or understand human speech in this world. The narration quoted by Ilyas Qadri and others is vague, lacks explicit mention of hearing, and does not support their claim.

Someone might say: “He is using the “concept of understanding all languages by the barzakhī righteous Muslims (awliyā’ of Allah) which includes prophets, messengers, saints. The answer to this is clearly no, because he tries to derive a ruling from the Tirmidhī hadīth regarding the ḥūr al-ʿīn (pure maidens of Paradise) — and fails.”

This is because Shaykh ʿAbdul Qādir al-Jīlānī and other righteous Muslims fall under the special category of awliyā’ of Allah (friends of Allah), whereas the ḥūr al-ʿīn do not fall under the category ofawliyā’ of Allah (friends of Allah).Same way, prophet Muhammad peace be upon him falls under the special unique category which is “best of Allah’s creation”, likewise all other prophets and messengers falls under the special unique category which is “prophethood or messangership”. And women of paradise (Hurayeen) doesn’t fall under these categories: Awaliya of Allah, Prophethood, Messengership, Best of All creation(final prophet Muhammad peace be upon him).

Moreover, the Ḥūr al-‘Īn are a creation of the Hereafter, not human beings who lived, died, and entered barzakh. They were never born into this world and not  died. Therefore, they cannot be compared to prophets, companions, martyrs, or awliyāʼ of Allah.

Humans are Created, Born, and Die

Shaykh ‘Abdul Qādir (rahimahullah), the Prophet ﷺ, Fāṭimah (رضي الله عنها), Imām Ḥusayn, and other awliyāʼ of Allah from the past were human beings — noble and high-ranking, yes — but still born, and died in this worldly life. The highest of them in rank is the final Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In contrast, the Ḥūr al-‘Īn are a special creation of Allah — not born, and not subject to death. So regardless of status, all humans are fundamentally different from the Ḥūr al-‘Īn. Comparing them is completely irrational and deceptive.

As stated earlier, the hadith often quoted about the Ḥūr al-‘Īn to justify major shirk with Allah — such as prophets, messengers, or awliyāʼ — does not mention that they listen to or understand people’s speech in different languages. There is no indication in any authentic hadith that the Ḥūr al-‘Īn hear or comprehend human speech in this world.

Therefore, the comparison made by Ilyas Qadri and others like him from the Barelvi-Sufi sect is baseless. It is a distortion used to justify the shirk-based practice of seeking help and assistance from the last prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, Ali radiallahuanhu, Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani, Mainuddin Chisti and others wali of Allah(friend of Allah). This belief and practice are nothing but major shirk.

They believe in it, promote it, practice it, and hate those who oppose it. It is a clear falsehood and a dangerous deviation from the pure Tawḥīd taught and established by the Prophet ﷺ.

Bear in mind: I do not make takfīr (declaring someone a kāfir or mushrik) on specific individuals by name — such as saying, “Maulana Ilyas Qadri is a mushrik or kāfir.” No — that is not my position.

If any reliable scholars that I trust were to make specific takfīr on Ilyas Qadri (Barelvi-Sufi), or Yasir Qadhi, then I would follow that and also make takfīr upon them. However, I do not know of any scholars who have done so.

Even though the major shirk committed by such deviant individuals is as clear as daylight, the scholars may still choose not to make takfīr on specific individuals — out of fear of Allah, due to the conditions and barriers (ʿudhr) related to takfīr. As Allāmah Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn رحمه الله said:

By Allah, if it were not for the fear of Allah, we would have made takfīr on Sayyid Qutb (the head of the Ikhwanis).”

But this does not mean that such individuals do not hold beliefs and actions that fall under major shirk and major kufr. And it certainly does not mean that we should remain silent. Rather, we must refute their falsehood, expose their deviations, and warn against them — along with anyone who promotes, calls to, or defends such misguidance — even if they claim affiliation to sunni Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamāʿah.

What I affirm is that, in general, groups such as the Barelwi-Sufis, Rawāfiḍ (extreme Shias), and other deviant sects are upon major shirk and kufr. This is because major scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah have declared these sects as deviant and guilty of major disbelief in general. However, as for making takfīr on a specific individual, that requires the establishment of the proof (ḥujjah) and removal of all doubts — and this is the duty of the qualified scholars (‘Ulamāʼ), not laypeople or individuals like me.

That said, we can and must point out when a specific person holds or promotes beliefs and actions that constitute major shirk and kufr. For example, it is valid to say:

"Ilyas Qadri (Barelwi) and Daniel Haqiqatjou promote beliefs and actions that are clearly shirk and kufr, which nullify the Shahāda (kalimah), and if a person dies holding such beliefs without repentance, they will remain in the Hellfire forever."

This is not personal takfīr, but a statement of fact regarding beliefs and actions as judged by the Qur’an, Sunnah, and the understanding of the scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah.

[6] Shaykh Rabiʿ ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī said: I advise everyone, once again, to have fear of Allāh. I advise them with supportive brotherhood and solidarity such that they become like one body, and are distant from the causes of splitting-up.

For indeed, many among those who desire leadership end up splitting the ranks of the Salafis.

Be like one body and beware of splitting-up, for indeed splitting is evil. "Verily, those who split-up in their religion and break up into sects, you are not associated with them in the slightest." [Al-Anʿām: 159] By Allāh, the one who splits the ranks of Salafis — they are just like those who split-up in their religion and break up into sects — you are not associated with them in the slightest. Allāh and His Messenger are free from them.

So have fear of Allāh, O' Brothers! Become like one body and beware, be beware, and be beware of splitting-up. For indeed a number of individuals from among those who desire leadership have split the ranks of the Salafis in different locations — in the Arab lands and other countries — due to desiring leadership and complying to what the devil wants.

So fear Allāh! Humble yourselves and be gentle with your brothers. "And lower your wing to the believers." [Al-Ḥijr: 88] And speak a statement of truth — may Allāh bless you. "Invite to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and good preaching, and debate with them in a manner that is better." [An-Naḥl: 125]

When you actualise solidarity, brotherhood and your statement is one, Salafiyyah becomes dominant and strong. However, when you are separated and split-up, Salafiyyah becomes weak and dishonoured amongst the people.

So fear Allāh! — May Allāh bless you all. The elders should have mercy on the youth, and the youth should respect the elders. Do not hasten to splitting-up. "Do not argue with one another lest you lose courage and your strength departs from you." [Al-Anfāl: 46] These verses are sufficient in that regard! He who truthfully looks into the Qurʾān, by Allāh, these verses will suffice him as a deterrent from splitting. May Allāh grant everyone with the success to perform what Allāh loves and is pleased with, and may Allāh mention our Messenger Muḥammad with salutations of praise.  Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2ZGmSA1I-o

[8] Islamic Knowledge from the Internet

It is not enough just to read or to listen tapes recording, rather these are just for beneficial purposes. As for depending on internet & considering oneself a knowledgeable person(scholar), this is ahuge mistake.[Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan Said]

Knowledge is not to be taken from the internet, cassetes(recording) or from the books rather knowledge is only taken from the scholars. Knowledge is through direct personal learning(Al-talaqqi), one must learn & understand from the scholars. If knowledge could be taken from the books, or whatever else takes their place, the scholars in the past, would not have travelled to scholars to learn from them & take knowledge from them.It is a must to go visit & take knowledge from the scholars even if they teach you from the books. As the muslims in the past travelled from land to land to seek knowldge from various scholars. [Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan said]

Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan on Frauds Knowledge

Shaykh Fowzaan on Frauds Who Pretend to Have Islamic Knowledge

The great scholar, Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan (may Allaah preserve him), was asked:
What is “ta’aalum”? And what is your advice to the youth who face trials due to people engaged in ta’aalum?

Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan Replied:
Ta’aalum is to feign knowledge. Feigning knowledge. It is when a person claims knowledge, while he is not knowledgeable in reality. He has not taken any knowledge directly from the scholars. Rather, he merely learned some things from books, solely from reading. He lacks sound fundamentals to build upon; he just reads things in books and proceeds according to his own understanding, likely erring more than being correct. This is a person of ta’aalum. He is a danger to himself (firstly) and to everyone (at large), since he plays games with the religion of Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic.

If a man came out and said to the people, “I’m a physician, I’m a doctor, and I treat (the sick),” while he does not have any medical qualifications, no medical qualifications at all, would he be allowed to treat (the sick)? Would he be allowed to perform surgeries, opening patients up and performing heart operations? He would not be allowed to do that, because it would be harmful. So how can a person of ta’aalum be allowed to play with the religion?! Playing with the religion is more serious than meddling with people’s bodies!

So they must fear Allah and not speak about Allah without knowledge, for Allah has made speaking about Him without knowledge worse than shirk (polytheism)! Say, “My Lord has only forbidden immoralities, what is apparent of them and what is concealed, sin, oppression without right, that you associate partners with Allaah which He has sent down no authority for, and that you say about Allaah what you do not have knowledge of.”
(Al A’raaf 7:33)

End Of Speech - [Reference:
Shaykh Fowzaan on Frauds Who Pretend to Have Islamic Knowledge ]

Can we learn from the one who learnt from books without taking from the scholars directly?

Noble Shaykh, May Allah grant you success, he ( the questionare) says:

"A man teaches the people Islamic legislation & the Aqeedah (creed) of the salaf (pious predecessors) despite the fact he has not directly taken knowledge from the shaykh & the scholars. Should knowledge be taken from such an individual?"

Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan replied: As long as he doesn't have a firm grounding attained from the scholars. He is not except a student of pages & books, so knowledge should not be taken from him because he doesn't understand the methodology of the salaf.

And he won't understand except by way of learning with the scholars. ANd by taking directly from the scholars. This knowledge is acquired by taking it directly from the scholars, not from reading alone.

Reading is helpful but it is not to be relied on. A person such as this individual is reffered to as Mutta'alim (one who acts like he has a knowledge).
So knowledge is not taken from him.

Should knowledge be taken from him? Sheikh Saalih Al-Fawzaan - حفظه الله ]

YouTube: YouTube should not be taken as a source of knowledge. However, if one wishes to benefit from audios (or videos) uploaded to YouTube, take from only known and trusted channels that have tazkiyāt from Salafi scholars and shaikhs. Be Aware!!! of AI (Artificial Intelligence) Software Changes Realities - A New Age Of Fabrication Has Arrived by Shaykh AbuKhadijah

Fabricating hadeeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the āthār (narrations) of the Salaf is not (of course) a new phenomenon, neither is ascribing statements to the scholars that they never uttered. Today, however, the technology allows for more sophisticated methods of lying and deception.

So, I enjoin upon you to verify recordings that come from untrustworthy or unknown social media accounts (even if they claim to be upon Salafiyyah). Speak to the scholars and shaikhs before accepting speech, or forwarding their [supposed] words, and refer to their books and printed fatāwā. Present statements from unknown sources to those who know. Imām al-Awzāʿee (died 157 AH) said:

“We would hear a hadeeth and then present it to our scholars just as one presents a counterfeit coin (dirham) to a teller—so what they accepted, we accepted and what they rejected, we rejected.” (See al-Jarh wat-Taʿdeel, 2/21)

Take your knowledge from authentic verifiable sites. For example Shaikh Ibn Bāz’s, Shaikh Ibn ʿUthaymeen’s, Shaikh Al-Fawzān’s, Shaikh Rabee’s, Shaikh ʿAbdul-Muhsin’s (etc.) official websites and social media accounts, those run by known Salafi shaikhs and students. Let’s bring to an end the era of random surfing and sharing affairs related to our Deen.

By taking this approach, we are actually going back to the original methodology of verification through chains of transmission as close as possible to the source.

Know that liars and imposters appeared early on in the Ummah. Abu Hātim ibn Hibbān, the great scholar of hadeeth (d. 354 AH) said in his Kitāb Al-Majrooheen minal-Muhadditheen (The Book of the Abandoned Ones from the Narrators of Hadeeth): “I heard Abdullāh ibn ʿAli Al-Jabuli say: I heard Abdullah ibn Yazeed Al-Muqree say: ‘ A man from Ahlul-Bidʿah who recanted from his innovation said: ‘Investigate from whom you take the hadeeth, for indeed if we took an opinion, we would invent a hadeeth to support it .’”

Muhammad Ibn Seereen (d. 110 AH) mentioned the importance of sourcing the narrations. He said: “ …but when the conflict and discord occurred, they (Ahlus-Sunnah) would ask: ‘Name to us your men’. So Ahl us-Sunnah would be considered and their narrations accepted—and Ahlul-Biʿdah would be considered and their narrations not accepted.” (Saheeh Muslim, Al-Muqaddimah: 27)

Furthermore, ʿAbdullāh Ibn Mubārak (d. 181 AH) said: “The isnād (chain of narration) is from the Religion—were it not for the isnād, anyone could say whatever he wanted to say.” (Saheeh Muslim, Al-Muqaddimah: 32)

This shows that the narrations of people would not be accepted except after knowing them, and knowing their isnād (chain of narration)—so, let us return back to the methodology of the Salaf. Today’s equivalent in the world of social media and the internet would be to follow and take from known scholars, shaikhs, students of knowledge and duʿāt whose integrity, trustworthiness, truthfulness, adherence to the Sunnah and the Manhaj of the Salaf is established through recommendations.

JAAMI' BAYAAN AL-'ILM WA FADLUHU - IBN ABDIL BARR (463H):
Author: Ibn Abd al-Barr (463H)
: Abu Omar Yusuf ibn Abdullah ibn Abd al-Barr an-Namri (368-463H) Al-Imam, al-Allamah, Hafidh al-Maghrib, Sheikh al-Islam, al-Faqih, al-Mujtahid, al-Muqri. He followed the Salaf's Aqida, forsook the Kalam and was Maliki.
Yūsuf ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Barr, Abū ʿUmar al-Namarī al-Andalusī al-Qurṭubī al-Mālikī,
commonly known as Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr (Arabic: ابن عبد البر) was an eleventh-century Maliki scholar and Athari theologian who served as the Qadi of Lisbon. He died in December 2, 1071 (aged 93).

It is a comprehensive book(
JAAMI' BAYAAN AL-'ILM WA FADLUHU) by the great Imam al-Hafidh Ibn Abdul Barr, stressing the meaning of knowledge, the merit of seeking it, and the praise of striving for it and taking care of it. It emphasises the corruption of speaking about the religion of Allah without knowledge, and the prohibition of judgement without proof. The author also spoke about the etiquette of acquiring knowledge and what the scholar and the learner must adhere to in order to achieve it, citing many prophetic Ahadiths and narrations on this subject.
This great book is an integrated educational curriculum for the education of the student and the scholar. It has also preserved a large collection of the sayings of the Salaf scholars in the virtues of knowledge, the etiquette of its students and methods of its acquisition.

[19] This was also reported by Al-Barqānee in his Saheeh with the addition: “Indeed I fear for my Ummah the imāms of misguidance – and when the sword is drawn between them, it will not be withdrawn until the Day of Resurrection. The Hour will not be established until a part of my Ummah attach themselves to the polytheists and until factions from my Ummah worship idols. In my Ummah there will appear thirty liars, each of them claiming to be a prophet. However I am the last of the Prophets, there is no prophet after me. And there shall not cease to remain a group from my Ummah  upon the Truth, aided and victorious. They are not harmed by those who betray them – and they will remain as such until there comes the command of Allah, the Blessed and Most High.” [Abu Dawood (4252), declared saheeh by Al-Albānee; see Al-Mishkāt (5406). # Imam Abdul Aziz bin Baz said: "When it comes to good deeds & worship of Ahlebidah then we leave up to Allah to judge but their misguidance needs to be mention & exposed".[End of speech Imam bin Baz] Remember, also there are groups(firqah) in the name of Islam who worship the graves(Qubooriys) & calls or ask help from the dead people who are not alive & present in this world. Yes, they are alive in the Barzakh but they are dead in this worldly life as Allah said in Quran You can't comprehend how they are alive ".

And we don't encourage physical fighting with Ahlebidat imams, heads, callers or laymen ahlebidah except when they come to physically harm us. If you have knowledge & you are full time callers or Imams then expose their level of misguidance otherwise don't poke them without objective. Make sure you are aware of results that come after. First & foremost , start yourself first means study the correct beleifs(Aqeedah) & manhaj(Methodology) of salaf & become strong & firm in it and don't focus on Fiqh issue when expsoing the AHlebidaht groups. After you acquire enough knowledge through scholars & you are fully aware of consequences(results) then start exposing those Ahlebidaht groups which has beleifs of major shirk like grave worshipping & asking for help directly from those who are dead in this world like we have today barelvi-sufi, Shia-Rafidah or in general shia & sufi, even though deobandi-sufi have that grave worshipping but there are imams from deoband who speaks against grave worshipping & major shirk openly but it's not the norm in deobandi-sufi group.

Likewise we have others groups in the name of Islam which has major kufr in them likes Jahmiyah, Mutazilla, Munkar Hadees, Qadariyaah. The Scholars warns every kinds of innovation but it's very important to highlight those present & past groups in the name of Islam which has major shirk & major kufr. Also you can mention in general, these gropus are Mushrik or Kafir but you are not allowed to call individuals by name Mushrik or Kafir because takfeer(calling another muslims kafir or mushrik) on muslims by name is not allowed & making takfeer is not for the laymen muslims but it goes back to scholars & judges by establishing strong proofs & evidences.

Also, we don't debate Ahlebidah in organized fashion by setting up debate function, this goes against the salaf way.If you are laymen muslim like me, then advise your close family, friends & relatives. Makes sure your family like your wife, childrens, parents, brothers, sisters don't believe in grave worshipping or calling or asking from the prophets, righteous people, wali of Allah who are dead in this world. Take it slowly bit by bit & if they get angry don't poke them or hate them but be patience. You can only teach them, if you have knowledge & firm foundational knowledge of aqeedah especially tawheed, shirk & Allah’s Names & Attributes.

[20] Seeking Knowledge From Books Alone Is Not Sufficient by Shaykh Salih Al Fawzan

"
This is misguidance.

'The
Black Snake*' is a cure from every ailment, so he went and ate a black snake and died as a result.

Rather
take a book from the books of medicine, read it and perform surgery on the people, open their stomaches and say I'm a doctor! This is not correct! If this is the case in the study of medicine then how about knowledge?! How about in relation to the Book of Allaah and the sunnah of His messenger?! There is a must for the scholars. Yes! [Translator: Abu Anas Atif Hasan - from Muwahhideen Publications]

[22]  How to Recognize the Callers to Misguidance | Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Al Fawzān[salfi-publication-network- Masjid Al-Wahyain MN]

# The Questioner: The following question is from the student ʿAlī Jābir who thanks your eminence and says how do we know the callers to misguidance in this time who incite unrest and turmoil; particularly those who do so through social media?
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān:

"First of all, one must know where did they study and from where did they take knowledge? This is the first thing.
Secondly, you must know the methodology which they traverse upon.
Who do they imitate? Whose example do they follow? Do they follow the example of the Imāms of Islām and the scholars of Islām or do they follow other than them?
So there must be a distinction made between these people and other than them by knowing from where did they take knowledge, who did they study with and who did they develop under?
So that their origin, methodology and history can be known."

Shaykh Muhammad al-Jami said:
The first essay that I advise the one who wishes to begin seeking knowledge to memorise is The Three Principles, [after that] The Pillars of the Prayer and its Obligations and Conditions followed by The Four Principles, whilst using an edition that has all three in one. It is desirable to memorise The Conditions of Lā illāha illa Allah and ‘The Nullifiers of Lā illāha illā Allah’. It is essential that he memorises these essays well, and after doing so, reads them to a student of knowledge, so as to take from the mouths of men and not from the belly of books [i.e. sits with scholars to ensure correct understanding as opposed to relying on one’s own readings].

  • - Removal of the Doubts
  • - The Book of Tawḥīd, which is the right of Allah upon His servants (Kitāb al-Tawḥīd)
  • - In the subject of tawḥīd of the Names and Attributes – for the student who has great desires for knowledge, he should memorise the text of ‘al-Wāsatīyāh’[Al Aqeedah Al-Wasatiyah by Imam Ibne Taymiyah Al Damashqi Al Hanbali Rahimahullah] or study it so that he understands it
  • - ‘Majmūʿ Fatāwā of Ibn Taymīyah’
  • - ‘The Explanation of al-Tahāwīyāh’ (Aqeedah Al Tahawiyah written by great Hanafi Imam Tahawyi Rahimahullah)
  • - ‘Tafsīr ‘Ābd al-Rahmān al-Siʿdī’
  • - ‘Fāt’ḥ al-Qadīr’
  • - ‘Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr’
  • - Then he should study ḥadīth. He should memorise texts – as we mentioned last night, he should begin with ‘Forty Ḥadīth al-Nawawī’ and ‘Umdat al-Aḥkām’ and ‘Bulūgh al-Marām’. He should study the conditions and become aware of these books. He should study them with the people who are specialists [in this subject]
  • - Umdat al-Aḥkām and Bulūgh al-Marām [that is] the fiqh of the sunnah and some of the books of imām al-Shawkānī – provided, as I’ve said, there is no bigotry to anything.

Allamah Imam Rabi Hadee Al Madkhali said: “...the books of the Imām and Reviver of the Sunnah Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb for the beginners. He advised with studying Qawāʿid al-Arbaʿ, Uṣūl al-Thalātha, Kitāb al-Tawḥīd and Kashf al-Shubuhāt. And he said al-ʿAqīdah al-Wāsiṭīyyah is a tremendous book on the topic of the Names and Attributes, if you understand it then your understanding will be grounded….continue. In one place, he mention first Quran while advising student of knowledge.

Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan

Questioner:

What are the most important books of ʿaqīdah which a student of knowledge should read at his beginning stages of seeking knowledge?

Shaykh Sāliḥ al-Fawzān:

Kitāb al-Tawhīd by Shaykh Muḥammad bin ʿAbd al-Wahhāb in [the subject of] Tawḥīd al-ʿIbādah. al-ʿAqīdah al-Wāsiṭīyyah by Shaykh al-Islām ibn Taymīyyah encompasses all chapters of ʿaqīdah, and al-ʿAqīdah al-Taḥāwīyyah by Imām Abī Jaʿfar al-Taḥāwī. Then the explanations of these books; al-ʿAqīdah al-Taḥāwīyyah, Kitāb al-Tawḥīd and al-ʿAqīdah al-Wāsṭīyyah so that he will benefit himself and others and he will be upon clarity in his affair.

The affair is not easy, for in front of us will be a question and an answer when we are placed in the grave. How will we answer? So it is obligatory that we give importance to this and prepare for this.

Questioner:

What are the best explanations of Kitāb al-Tawḥīd, al-ʿAqīdah al-Wāsiṭīyyah and al-ʿAqīdah al-Taḥāwīyyah?

Shaykh Sāliḥ al-Fawzān:

[As for] Kitāb al-Tawḥīd, then from it’s explanations is Fat`ḥ al-Majīd. This is the best explanation of it, it is simple and concise. If you want an increase, [then read] Taysīr al-ʿAzīz al-Ḥamīd by Shaykh Sulaymān bin ʿAbd Allāh – [a book that] Fat`ḥ al-Majīd was abridged from. [In terms of] al-ʿAqīdah al-Taḥāwīyyah, ibn Abil ʿIzz has the best explanation. It is reliable, very beneficial and upon the methodology of the Salaf. Al-ʿAqīdah al-Wāsiṭīyyah by itself is clear, nonetheless it has beneficial and contemporary explanations such as the explanation of Shaykh ibn ʿUthaymīn and the explanation of Ibn Rashīd.1 They are beneficial explanations.

——-
1 Al-Tanbīhāt al-Saniyyah – Shaykh Sāliḥ Aal-Shaykh said: “This blessed ʿaqīdah has many explanations and from the most beneficial and articulate of them is the explanation titled al-Tanbīhāt al-Sanīyyah ʿalá al-ʿAqīdah al-Wāsiṭīyyah by the Shaykh and the ʿAllāmah ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ar-Rashīd. This explanation is certainly from the most beneficial explanations of al-ʿAqīdah al-Wāsiṭīyyah.

For it has indeed explained the points of this ʿaqīdah its wording will suffice the student of knowledge in [understanding] issues of this affair. I mean [by that], the affair of Iʿtiqād (creed and belief), due to what is mentioned in it from extensive knowledge. If a student of knowledge was to suffice with it in the clarification of the ʿaqīdah of Ahl al-Sunnah, it would be enough for him. For this reason I urge anyone who wants an explanation of this ʿaqīdah to get this book: al- Tanbīhāt al-Sanīyyah by Shaykh Ibn Rashīd. [Aal-Shaykh, Sāliḥ bin ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz. al-Lāliʾu al-Bahīyyah fi Sharḥ al-ʿAqīdah al-Wasiṭīyyah. Maktabah al-Hijāz, Riyādh, KSA, 1434 pp. 15-16]

Al-Allamah Imam Abdul Aziz Ibn Baaz (rahimahullaah)

The Most Authentic Books on True Islamic Aqidah (Creed) – Imam Ibn Baaz (rahimahullaah)

7- The most authentic books on “Aqidah

Q: Please guide me to the most authentic book on true Islamic Aqidah (creed)! May Allah grant you success!

A: The most authentic, noblest and greatest book dealing with the subject of Aqidah and other subjects is the Glorious Qur’an. It contains the most truthful speech. No falsehood can approach it from before or behind it. It is a revelation from Allah, the All-Wise, the Praiseworthy.

I advise the inquirer and all Muslims to hold fast to the Qur’an and to give it due attention by reciting it often, reflecting on its meanings and trying hard to memorize as many chapters of it as possible. It is the Greatest Book which Allah has sent down to His servants so that they may memorize it, follow its teachings and act upon it. It contains plain truths and clear guidance.

Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) states, «Verily, this Qur’an guides to that which is most just and right»

He (Glorified be He) also says,« it is an honourable well-fortified respected Book (because it is Allah’s Speech, and He has protected it from corruption)» «Falsehood cannot come to it from before it or behind it: (it is) sent down by the All-Wise, Worthy of all praise (Allah azza wa jal)». and: «And We have sent down to you the Book (the Qur’an) as an exposition of everything, a guidance, a mercy, and glad tidings for those who have submitted themselves (to Allah as Muslims).»

I thus advise the inquirer to care for this Great Book, recite it frequently, ponder over its meanings, study it together with colleaques and fellows, and refer to reliable books of Tafsir (exegesis of the meanings of the Qur’an), such as the book entitled “Adwa’ Al-Bayan” for Al-Baghawy, Tafsir Ibn Kathir (may Allah be merciful to them all), and the like. They may also refer to commentaries of other Mufassirs (exegetes of the Qur’an) who clarified the meanings of the Ayahs of the Qur’an, citing related Hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).

I advise you my fellow brother to study the Book of Allah and to pay due concern to the Sunnah (whatever reported from the Prophet) of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), which contains guidance and light. You may refer to such books as Sahih Al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim and the remaining four collections of Hadith (Abu Dawud, Al-Tirmidhi, Al-Nasa’i, and Ibn Majah).

There are also many other books which explain the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him), including the Muwatta’ of Imam Malik (may Allah be merciful to him), the Sunan of Al-Darimi (may Allah be merciful to him), the Sahih of Ibn Khuzaymah, the Sahih of Ibn Hibban, Al-Hakim and other books which are very beneficial.

If you have some knowledge of Hadith, you will be able to differentiate between authentic and false Hadiths cited in the books referred to above. The Two Sahih (authentic) Books of Hadith (i.e. Al-Bukhari and Muslim) are an exception to this. The Muslim Ummah (community) has unanimously agreed on the authenticity of all the Hadiths compiled in them.

You are also advised to follow in the footsteps of the righteous scholars of Hadith. The Two Sahih Books of Hadith have gained the credibility of AhI-ul- Sunnah wal-Jama ‘ah (adherents to the Sunnah and the Muslim mainstream). The Muslim Ummah has also acknowledged them as authentic. Therefore, you must adhere to them tenaciously. You must also hold fast to the Book of Allah, the remaining four books of Sunan and the books we just mentioned. Scholars of Hadith have pointed out weak Hadiths and have given reasons for their weakness.

As for books on the topic of “Aqidah, they are many. One of the best books in this regard is the “Kitab Al-Tawhid” by Ibn Khuzaymah, “Kitab Al-Sunnah” by *Abdullah Ibn Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, “Minhaj Al-Sunnah”, by Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, which refutes the claims of the Mutazilites, and “Zad Al-Ma‘ad” by Ibn Al-Qayyim, knowing that the latter is very good reference in the field of “Aqidah and rulings of Shariah (Islamic Law). Other books include “Ijtima Al-Juyush Al-Islamiyyah” by Ibn Al-Qayyim which refutes the claims of innovators in religious matters, “Al-Sawa ‘iq Al-Mursalah” by Ibn Al-Qayyim, which also involves refutation of the claims of innovators in religious matters, and “Al- Aqidah Al-Wasitiyyah” by Shaykh-ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah. This is a concise book which involves great benefit to Muslims. It is in line with the guidance of Ahl-ul-Sunnah wal-Jama ‘ah, and Shaykh- ul-Islam advised all Muslims, particularly seekers of knowledge, to memorize it, as it contains clear illustration of the doctrine of Ahl-ul-Sunnah wal-Jama ‘ah. Shaykh-ul-Islam also authored a book entitled “Al-Risalah Al-Hamawiyyah” which answers questions posed by the people of Hamah concerning proper understanding of Allah’s Names and Attributes, and other questions related to Aqidah. Upon visiting the people of Tadmur, he also wrote an epistle which he entiteled “Al-Risalah Al-Tadmuriyyah”. It is a great piece which clarifies sound Aqidah. There is also a book entitled “Al- Aqidah Al-Tahawiyyah” by Imam Al- Izz. It is wonderfully written. There is also another book called “Kitab Al-Tawhid” written by Shaykh-ul-Islam Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Wahhab (may Allah be merciful to him), which is a valuable book. He also wrote “At-Thatlathat Al-Usul”. He also wrote a short treatise on Aqidah. Another book called “Fat-h Al-Majid Sharh Kitab Al-Tawhid” was written by his grandson Shaykh ‘Abdul-Rahman Ibn Hasan Ibn Al-Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Wahhab. It is a great and useful book. The book was annotated by Shaykh Sulayman Ibn ‘Abdullah Ibn Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab. He titled it “Taysir Al- Aziz Al-Hamid li-Sharh Kitab Al-Tawhid“. It is also a great and useful book.

I advise all Muslims to refer to and benefit from these and other beneficial books on the subject of Aqidah. I again stress the fact that the Qur’an is the greatest, noblest and most truthful of all books. It is the greatest remedy for those who seek healing for their souls. The Salaf (righteous predecessors) did not have any other book except the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). The Sahabah (Companions of the Prophet) and the Tabi‘un (Followers, the generation after the Companions of the Prophet) had only the Glorious Qur’an and the Hadiths of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and they were sufficient for them. They contain every type of guidance. However, there is nothing wrong in referring to the books of well known and reliable scholars as has been mentioned.

There is no harm in making use of their writings, benefiting from them or calling other people to benefit from them. Some people may not trust their own understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah, and when they refer to books written by reliable scholars and such references happen to be in conformity with their understanding, their knowledge is further enhanced and their hearts are set at ease. Allah alone grants success.
