Fiqh al-Akbar Vs Fiqh al-Asghar (Furu‘)

It has always been from the norm of the Salaf that whenever they would author books in jurisprudence (fiqh) they would begin by clarifying the creed (aqidah). Thus they would divide it into [two parts]

The word Fiqh (فقه) in Arabic linguistically means:
👉 “deep understanding” or “profound comprehension”
It comes from the Arabic root ف-ق-ه (fa-qa-ha), which refers to:
In the Qur’an, the word is used in this sense of deep understanding:
“…so that they may gain understanding (fiqh) in the religion…”
(Surah At-Tawbah 9:122)
And it is not (proper) for the believers to go out to fight (Jihâd ) all together. Of every troop of them, a party only should go forth, that they (who are left behind) may get instructions in (Islâmic) religion, and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may beware (of evil).
